What is it like to be successful? I never thought of this question. At work, I just do my job and don't think about my achievements. I got a 4.5 star rating out of 5. How? I work beyond my normal eight hours, I communicate well, and treat each customer like family.
This may sound lke BS to you, but I take it to heart. I am a customer myself, so I always have mindset how would I like to be spoken to. This is how I got my fastest promition yet.
Seven months ago, I could not tell you why my previous job did. I had never done call center -customer service. The only difference is all my jobs have been customer centered and obsessed.
The 18 years working is a testment to this and I like helping people geniuely. I exceeded at my job and was promoted to a highest exective level. This is no small feat. I am proud of what I have accomplished.
I don't like pointing fingers. The person who gave me my opportunity did not like this fact that I was leaving their team for career growth. I haven ever been happy and angry at my job due to being good at it. This was a new one for me.
I busted my butt and got a promotion to later be made to feel like a traitor for protecting my own future. If things were reversed, I would not expect someone to stay. I would happily tell them take the shoot. This goes to a phrase I never had taken to heart. People will not root for you like you would for them.
This is to say, not everyone has your best interests at heart. I always try to. I do not beleive in holding grudges, bad karma, or holding onto negative emotions. In the end, it hold you back and that person or persons has moved on. So I was sadden by this experience, but it remind me to think of myself as a priority always!
