This story was my birth of creative writing. I loved watching Buffy and Xena grabbing up. The most interesting idea was the side-kick lead female character. The Willow on Buffy, and Gabrielle's to Xena; how they started off as small town young woman who by the end of the series were the most powerful out there. That is a huge story arc and something I wanted to duplicate and who doesn't love a kick-ass female! I had the idea for my lead, but what to call her? I was a huge fan of Degrassi growing up and am in love with Stacey Farber, ssh. Don't tell her. I took the name Stacey and made the lead, or my version of Buffy and Xena, someone my main character could look up to. So I told one story from Stacey's point of view, finished and had more ideas and wanted to expand my characters. Why this is a ten year journey. I took my lead side-kick Ginger Artemis Solis and built a whole world around her story. Ginger is my heroine who is the reincarnate Greek Goddess Artemis in present day. I had the hook to sell this idea, concept, and the world I was creating. I still love what I made and hope to bring it to television one-day. As a animated show, a Netflix documentary, or Hulu exclusive. I am game on all of the above. I have actor friends who I know would love the chance to see my characters come to life on the big screen. Dreams do come true, you know. Why once I finished this story, I can't put the pen down. I am a natural born story-teller making new worlds, telling different perspectives, and hopefully showing representation for those who are marginalized. Thanks for reading.
