Desiring and craving are not necessarily a bad thing. All good things in moderation. I, however, am speaking about is wanting another person so badly that you lose yourself. This can and usually is bad when dating. Lost of identity can make you compromise who you are, what you believe in, and most importantly, putting this person first. That could be their needs, goals, or dreams over your own. This is not a balanced or healthy relationship. I am not a dating expert, yet all research agrees with me on these facts. Self worth and identity becomes blurred when starting a new relationship to appear in a "ideal perfect" light. This doesn't allow the person to fully get to know you, and creates a false truth about oneself. These are things to consider when starting a new relationship with a partner.
